Event Dates:
Thursday, July 24 – Saturday, July 26, 2008

Travel Dates:
Arrival & Registration on Wednesday July 23, 2008
Departure on Sunday July 27, 2008

Competition Site:
Casablanca Events Center
950 W. Mesquite Blvd.
Mesquite, Nevada 89027
(Directly off the I-15 Interstate, which can be picked up at McCarran Airport, approx 50min from the airport.)

Weigh-Ins Site:

Weigh-In Times:
7:00 am each day of competition
ALL BOXERS MUST WEIGH-IN THE FIRST DAY OF COMPETITION, 7/24/08

For Reservations call: 1-800-621-0187 & identify yourself as attendees of the Golden Gloves #216415 to receive special Group Rate.   Ask to stay in the manor rooms, which are directly across from the Casablanca Events Center where the tournament will be taking place. Rooms start at  $34.98 per night but will increase in price as we get closer to the event, so make your reservations early.

Participant Registration:
Registration will be on Wednesday July 23, 2007 from
9:00am – 8:00pm @ the Oasis Hotel In the Hogan & Jones Room. All participants must register in person.

All ATHLETES must have five registered bouts in order to compete in the tournament.
Each Athlete registration must include:

Entry Fee  ($10.00 for pre-registrations received by 7/01/08 &
$15.00 thereafter)

USA Boxing Passbooks:
USA Boxing Athlete Passbooks should be hand-carried by each boxer or the State/District Team Manager.
NO BOOK – NO BOUT

Travel/Transportation:
Arrival & Departure Transportation is available to those participants who complete this Transportation Request Form and submit it by 7/01/08.
Transportation will be available by request from the Las Vegas McCarran Airport on Wednesday July 23rd to each of the two hotel listed above.
Transportation will also be available on Sunday July 27th from the above listed hotels back to the McCarran airport.

Meals & Lodging:
All Participants are responsible for all of their
meals and lodging needs.

Athlete Participant Age:
This tournament is open to all male Junior Boxers between the ages of 9 – 16.

USA Boxing Membership:
Each tournament participant (Boxers, Coaches, Officials, Physicians, Tournament Administration, etc.) must be registered with USA Boxing for the 2008 membership year,
and have proof of registration (Registration Pink Copy, Membership Card, Passbook Validation Stamp). Officials and coaches MUST be currently certified to work.

Drawing & Bracketing:
The draw will be conducted on Wednesday, July 23, 2008 at the close of registration.

Trial Scale:
A trial scale will be available throughout the tournament at the Oasis Hotel in the Hogan & Jones room.

Fitness Center:
A fitness center will be available throughout the tournament to all participants ages 13 and up.
The Hogan & Jones room will be open to all participants who need space to jump rope, shadow box, work the mitts.

Weigh-ins and Physicals:
Each boxer must satisfactorily complete weigh-ins and physicals each day that he competes.
Please remember to have all athletes at the start of weigh-ins as the order may be random. There is no weight allowance.

Awards:
There will be Championship Belts for the Golden Glove National Champion in each weight division and in each weight class.

Certification Clinics:
Level 1 ,2, & 3 officials clinics TBD
Level 1, 2, & 3 coaches clinic TBD

Appreciation/Rewards Party:
Friday, July 26th
